Institute of Business Administration

Established in 1955, IBA is the oldest business schools outside North America. It has two campuses in Karachi and students usually have classes in both campuses. During the last few years, the institute has witnessed infrastructure developments and increase in accredited programs. Although known for its BBA program, it offers BSC in Computer Science and Accounting and Finance among others.

Pros

  • IBA teaches you skills like tact, team work and the ability to influence and lead others
  • Numerous opportunities to network and learn through event management
  • Amazing campus facilities¬†(Gym, Badminton court, Chess, Table Tennis and of course a gorgeous Library)
  • Peer Support

Cons

  • Since it has two campuses, so students face a bit travelling issues between campuses although shuttle is provided but it’s tiring. Specially when you move towards your junior and senior year to get electives of your choice and overlooking the campus travelling eventually.
  • Taking your social and student life together and accomplish goals within them becomes a bit hard initially, since as a freshmen you are attracted by numerous activities and events going around all the time, if you don’t realize it early you get stuck in a mess by ignoring your studies, but if you’re able to pull off both things in your first year, you’re good to go.
